dkproto(3) - Linux man page

Name

dkproto.h - preprocessor definitions for prototypes

Synopsis

#include <dkproto.h>

Description

The dkproto.h file defines preprocessor macros to allow the use of either ANSI-C prototypes or K&R C declarations.

In a header file one can use i.e.

#include <dk.h>
...
int strcmp DK_PR((char *left, char *right));
to declare a function.

In the module itself use

#include <dk.h>

int strcmp DK_P2(char *,left, char *,right)
{
...
}
Depending on whether or not DK_HAVE_PROTOTYPES is defined to 1 the macros are expanded to either
int strcmp(char *left, char *right);

int strcmp(char *left, char *right)
{
}
or
int strcmp();

int strcmp(left, right) char *left; char *right;
{
}
