Name

showhex - show file contents hexadecimally

Synopsis

showhex options file(s)

Description

The showhex program shows the contents of a file hexadecimally.

Options

-t

shows the text in addition to the hexacimal output.

-a

adds address information.

-b buffer-size
changes the size of the input buffer used to read the file.

Return Value

The program returns an exit code 0 on success, a positive value on errors.

Restrictions

Although the files are opened in binary mode some characters are misinterpreted as end-of-file on Windows systems.
