Name

ksort - Krause's sort clone

Synopsis

ksort options file(s)

Description

This program sorts input linewise and writes the result to standard output or a name specified in the option. It is mainly intended for users on operating systems shipped without a "native" sort program.

Options

-o output-file

redirects output to the specified file.
-b ignores leading blanks. -n not case-sensitive. -d sorts by decimal numbers at the beginning of lines. -f sorts by floating point numbers (in C notation) at the beginning of lines. -i inverts the sort order. -m merges duplicated lines.
-c options: saves the option as permanent options.
-r ...: ignores the permanent options for one program invokation.
-u removes the permanent options.

Return Value

The program returns exit code 0 on success, a positive exit code on errors.
